I began this company with a goal to provide the average paid shooter the chance to get a holster they really wanted. It started with a few friends who were nice enough to field my work; and then it kinda grew overnight. I went from one or two orders a week to one or two orders a day. I was very flattered to learn my holsters were enjoyed and used in the civilian populace and overseas in combat conditions.
One thing you should know is I am still new and am learning everyday. I do not have formal training in this trade and have learned by trial and error. The holsters I offer have been fielded by law enforcement, avid shooters, hikers and everyday joe and joanne. I will not let something leave my shop unless I know it is going to work. In fact, I place my life and the life of my family in my holsters. I have fallen down hills, tripped over steps, rocks (my own feet) and so forth and the firearm and holster stay firmly in place. In fact, one of my friends flipped over his motorcycle, not once, but twice (ya think he'd learn) and the firearm NEVER moved in the IWB that was an open top (IWB V1).
If you, the customer, want something I do not offer nor can build, I will be more than happy to refer you to another builder. There are guys like Garrity(www.garritysholsters.com), Delfatti (www.delfatti.com), Andy with Horseshoe Leather (www.holsters.org), Milt Sparks (www.miltsparks.com), Mitch Rosen (www.mitchrosen.com), Null (www.knullholsters.com), Tucker (www.tuckergunleather.com), Kevin with K & D Holsters, Eric with HBE and so many more who can build things I am still learning about. Everyone is different, and I understand that; I also understand being apprehensive about a new custom holster maker. I offer a 3 day, money back, return policy (I even pay the return shipping) and I can promise the holster will be very durable, functional and as long as it is taken care of, it will not fail. (Please see "Disclaimer" for more info.)
I have read where some are curious what I use for leather, dyes, etc. Well, I use Herman Oak 6-7 ounce, Leather, Angelus Dyes and high quality threads. My stitcher is a Tippmann Boss, hand crank, boat anchor, dinosaur... like I said, I am new and still learning. As far as who I buy my supplies from, I buy from various local sources in Florida and companies from around the country. If the leather sucks, I keep it for my holster or a demo/prototype... why would I set myself up for a lawsuit.
If you want to know about my quality, look at my comments. I am not going to post only the good... I post all comments I receive. If I fail to do so, I know I will get called on it and someone will say so in one of the various forums.
Oh, and as far as I am copying other makers... trust me, search hard enough and you will see there are so many variants it is insane. All I did is take what fit me better, a Wellsmade, a Garrity and suggestions from my law enforcement friends. I do not and will not violate patents, copyrights, etc. I look at holsters like music: are there any new or original compositions any more? Doesn't everyone emulate someone in their lives? Look at the Devel guns, Smith took alot from those and put them in their next line of guns. Would I rather have a Devel? Sure, who wouldn't. But is the Smith version reliable? Only as reliable as the shooter. Holsters are like any other tool in the shooters tool box: if you do not oil and maintain it, it can fail.
In closing, I would like to thank you for taking a look at my site and if you have questions about my rigs, call. If I do not get back within 24 hours, then something is wrong with me. Keep stopping by for more and more photos, holsters and gear.
Dave
